Apply for Google Map Key

This topic introduces how to apply Maps SDK for Android in the Google Cloud Platform.

Suggestion

There is no need to bind a credit card when applying the Google Map Key.

Procedure

1. Login Google map website , Click GET STARTED.

   

2. Click Cancel.

   

3. Click Console.

   

4. Click Select a project, then NEW PROJECT.

   

   

5. Create Project Name, then click CREATE.

   

6. Select Maps SDK for Android.

   

7. Click ENABLE.

   

8. Select Credentials => Create credentials => API key.

   

9. Google map key is available, but not finished yet. Click RESTRICT KEY.

   

10. Select application restrictions => Android Apps => + App package name and fingerprint. Package name: App name(com.xxx).

    • SHA-1 certificate fingerprint: Please log in to Tuya Developer Platform to get it.

      

    • Click Save.

      

11. Finally, Google Map Key is complete, please copy the key.

    

12. Add Googlemap Key in Tuya development platform.
